In this article, we will formulate an Iowa vs South Carolina betting prediction for this women’s college basketball National Championship showdown on Sunday, April 7th at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse. We will take a look at:

-The Iowa Hawkeyes’ recent form and recent player performance

-The South Carolina Gamecocks recent form and recent player performance

-A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for today’s game between Iowa and South Carolina.

Can Caitlin Clark Lead Iowa to the Promised Land

There was some controversy at the Iowa and UConn Huskies game on Friday, but Iowa was able to make the comeback and secure the 71-69 victory. Caitlin Clark had another strong game, putting up 21 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists. Hannah Stuelke was actually the top player, putting up 23 points, three rebounds, and one assist. Clark is going to need to have a big game, but this one probably comes down to others stepping up around her too. Iowa overall this season is averaging 91.4 points, while their defense is giving up 71.5 points per game. Clark on the season is averaging 31.7 points while shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from behind the three point line.

South Carolina Looks to Cap Perfect Season

South Carolina comes into this game with a 38-0 record overall, and they sure dominated in the Final Four game. South Carolina faced off against NC State, and the defense gave up only 59 points on the way to the 19 point victory. Kamilla Cardosso had a strong game, putting up 22 points and 11 rebounds. It’s been a balanced attack all season, and there were seven different players that finished with at least six points. South Carolina is averaging 85.4 points, while their defense is giving up 56.1 points per game. Kamilla Cardoso is averaging 14.3 points while shooting 59.8 percent from the field.

Iowa vs South Carolina Betting Prediction

South Carolina is a balanced team, and probably the better team, but this is way too many points to lay with them in the National Championship game. Iowa still has Caitlin Clark who is averaging 31.7 points per game and even against a good defensive team, she is going to have a big game here. Clark is going to put up at least 25 points and that is going to be enough for Iowa to keep this one close. Back Iowa to cover the spread. This is the strongest play of any game for Sunday.
