-A summary that ties it all together and produces a favorable betting outcome for Today’s Game between the Cavaliers and Demon Deacons.

 Virginia Look for 2-0 Start

Virginia in the first game faced off against the Richmond Spiders and they were able to secure the 34-13 victory. At the end of the first quarter they were up 17-0 and they took their foot off the gas a little bit and were able to cruise to the win. Under center for the Cavaliers was Anthony Colandrea and he completed 17 of his 23 passes for 297 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Virginia really needs him to have a big season for the team to find success. Running back Kobe Pace finished with 11 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Fields also caught five catches for 100 yards. On defense they weren’t awful, but this is going to be a much bigger test. If the defense struggles early, this could be a long game.

Wake Forest Offense Impressed

Wake Forest in the first game of the season against North Carolina A&T ran up the score and they ended up winning 45-13 victory. The offense scored 21 points in the third quarter and that was enough for the victory. Hank Bachmeir was brought in from the transfer portal and he completed 18 of his 28 passes for 263 yards, three touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Running back Demond Claiborne was wild on the ground and he finished with 17 carries for 135 yards and a touchdown.

Taylor Morin looks like he’s going to be a mismatch most games and he caught six passes for 100 yards. The defense needs to be better against the run. They allowed North Carolina A&T”s top rusher to put up 121 yards on the ground.

Virginia vs Wake Forest Prediction

This game is going to comedown to which defense can play better against the run. I was really impressed with the way Claiborne ran wild in the first game and he’s going to do much of the same here. Virginia’s defense is going to really struggle to make the stops. Wake Forest also has the home field advantage and that will help their chances in this game. Back Wake Forest against the spread here.

Shane Mickle's Pick: Wake Forest -2
